Guidelines for Authors
Logos publishes three types of documents:
- Original research articles:
Texts of a maximum of 8,000 words, where knowledge that has not been previously published is presented. These manuscripts present exhaustive results of empirical research with solid theoretical conceptualization.
- Short communications and research notes
Texts of a maximum of 4,000 words that may correspond to: i. Research in progress with preliminary results of a larger investigation or ii. An article or essay in which an specific problem of the disciplines of the journal is discussed.
- Book reviews
Texts of a maximum of 4,000 words that contain the bibliographic data of a work that has been recently published, and that is of interest to the disciplinary communities to which the journal is intended. These reviews must contain descriptive and critical comments on the works reviewed.
All other types of texts will be returned to the authors.
Submissions
Manuscripts must be sent through the journal's OJS system (www.revistalogos.cl), and all inquiries should be directed to the email logos@userena.cl
Manuscript sent by mail will be returned to the authors.
FORM AND PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS
Logos publishes works related to all disciplines and sub-disciplines of Linguistics, Literature and Philosophy.
Languages:
Logos only receives papers in English and Spanish.
Extension
Articles should have up to 8,000 words considering the references. Other documents such as interviews, reviews and notes may have up to 4,000 words. All papers must be sent in a letter-sized sheet.
Authors must submit the three following files:
- The original article, without any data related to authors ID, and using the latest APA format.
- A Word document including the authors ID, i.e., full name, institutional email, affiliation, postal address, ORCID number, and funding acknowledgement if present.
- Cover letter including 4 possible referees and a declaration of originality.
Title, abstract and keywords
All articles must include an abstract with no more than 300 words, and 5 keywords. The general context of the research, the method and the main results should be clear in the abstract. All papers must include the title, abstract and keywords in Spanish and English.
Format and citation style
Articles submitted to Logos should follow the APA norms (7th edition).
We encourage authors to elaborate bibliographic references using management tools, such as Zotero. The submitted version should be in plain text, i.e., without hyperlinks between the body of the text and the references.
