Abstract
The epidemic started in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, has captured the attention of the international scientific community due to the large number of people affected. The
microorganism was categorized as SARS-CoV2, and its associated disease, COVID-19.
Circulating information with no scientific support, low adherence to recommendations to minimize transmission of viruses and the poor experience / knowledge of nursing
professionals in the management of this type of pathology, motivated the performance of this narrative review. Search was focused on the Pubmed & ScienceDirect databases and
official web-pages of organizations such as the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
