Abstract
Educational evaluation is an instance of knowledge of the student’s performance, teachers and institutional authorities in the educational system. In Paraguay, the analysis of the distribution of the results of the National Assessment of Educational Process (SNEPE)
considers the social environment of students as a key part of school performance. In this context, the evidence of the social origin of students reported the crucial impact of sociocultural level of households in the educational process.
In this sense, social origin results in differentiated possession, according to social class, a cultural capital that impacts the educational process not only by the logic of acquisition and production of school knowledge on the part of young people, but also by attitudes and skills toward «school culture» that enable and facilitate families, condition for adequate educational path to the expectations of social development of young people.
