Ethics and Best Practices Policy of the "Nursing Care and Health Education Journal"

At the "Nursing Care and Health Education Journal", we are committed to academic integrity and the quality of the research we publish. Our ethics and best practices policy is designed to ensure transparency, honesty, and respect at all stages of article publication and review. This policy is based on the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and takes into account specific aspects of research in nursing and health, aligning with the Helsinki Declaration for research involving human subjects.

Honesty in Contribution: We require that all submitted works be original and, if previous works are used, they must be properly cited or authorized. The presentation of data and information must be honest, accurate, and transparent.

Authors' Responsibility: Authors must ensure that their manuscripts comply with the highest ethical standards, respecting copyright and obtaining the necessary consents, especially in research involving human beings or sensitive data, in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration.

Peer Review: All articles submitted to our journal undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring an impartial and constructive evaluation. Reviewers and editors will treat manuscripts confidentially, maintaining respect for the author's work.

Management of Conflicts of Interest: It is imperative that authors, reviewers, and editors declare any potential conflict of interest that could influence the evaluation or publication of a manuscript, thus ensuring the objectivity and transparency of the editorial process.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern: We commit to acting promptly and clearly in the face of significant errors or ethical issues discovered in publications. Actions may include corrections, retractions, or statements of concern, depending on the severity of the matter.

Respect for Diversity: We encourage an environment of respect, inclusion, and diversity among our authors, reviewers, and editorial team members. We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or disrespect of any kind.

Commitment to Health Research Ethics: We recognize the importance of ethics in health and nursing research, especially in studies involving human beings. Therefore, we require all our authors to follow international ethical guidelines, including the Helsinki Declaration, and to obtain approval from institutional or national ethics committees as appropriate.

This policy reinforces our commitment to integrity and excellence in academic research and publication. We invite all participants in the editorial and academic process to collaborate in maintaining these high ethical standards, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of nursing and health education.
