Resumen
Este artículo presenta un análisis teórico‒reflexivo sobre la ética del cuidado y su relevancia para pensar la educación y la profesionalización docente en contextos contemporáneos atravesados por múltiples crisis.
El escrito se organiza a partir de tres preguntas orientadoras. En primer lugar, examina cómo el cuidado atraviesa la educación y las ambigüedades que emergen al nom-brarlo como dimensión pedagógica y social, abordando la enseñanza como trabajo de cuidado, el rol de la escuela en la organización social de los cuidados y la centralidad del cuidado en los procesos de enseñanza‒aprendizaje. En segundo lugar, analiza las tensiones que surgen al pensar la profesionalización docente desde la ética del cuidado. Finalmente, reflexiona sobre el aporte de la pedagogía del cuidado a una visión política y transformadora de la educación, destacando su potencial para resistir la racionalidad neoliberal y promover justicia relacional, reciprocidad y sostenimiento de la vida en clave «más‒que‒humana».
El artículo sostiene que integrar la ética del cuidado reconfigura la comprensión de la profesionalidad y abre horizontes democráticos.
