Breve historia del problema mente-cuerpo (i): de los antiguos a Descartes
Resumen
El objetivo del trabajo es presentar el problema mente-cuerpo desde una perspectiva histórica. A pesar de que este es desde el siglo pasado uno de los asuntos más en boga en filosofía, existen pocos trabajos centrados exclusivamente en sus raíces. Este artículo no realiza un análisis crítico de las distintas ideas por cuestión de brevedad y dado que, de hecho, sí hay bibliografía centrada en ello. El texto procura proporcionar una idea clara del desarrollo histórico de la idea de mente y el problema de su conexión con el cuerpo. Esta parte se inicia con las concepciones del alma antiguas y termina en el dualismo sustancial de Descartes.
