En defensa del Gran diálogo. Leo Strauss y los fundamentos filosóficos de una educación liberal basada en los grandes libros
Resumen
Recogiendo la propuesta del reciente libro de José María Torralba, Una educación liberal. Elogio de los grandes libros, este artículo pretende ofrecer una defensa de la educación liberal, profundizando en un aspecto de fondo: la fundamentación filosófica de este tipo de educación. Para hacerlo, se centrará la mirada en la figura del filósofo político Leo Strauss (1899-1973), debatiendo sobre el valor que puede darse, hoy en día, a la lectura de las obras del pasado. Al hacerlo, este artículo pretende contribuir a la comprensión del controvertido pensamiento straussiano que, a su vez, significa contribuir a la recuperación de la filosofía en su sentido original.
