Razonamiento pragmático de implicaturas escalares de cuantificadores y determinantes: comparación entre algunos y ciertos
Resumen
La relación entre cuantificadores y determinantes es un tema de interés tanto para la gramática como para la pragmática. Desde una perspectiva gramatical, actualmente persiste la polémica acerca del uso de determinantes, como el término ciertos, en función cuantificadora.
El presente estudio busca aportar evidencias empíricas a esta cuestión, desde una perspectiva de pragmática experimental.
Para ello, se adaptó un protocolo que ha indagado sobre las inferencias generadas en los oyentes en enunciados de cuantificación, como la oración Algunos elefantes son mamíferos, que puede interpretarse como algunos, pero no todos o como algunos y posiblemente todos. Se presentó una tarea de elección forzada que alternaba oraciones subinformativas regidas por el término Algunos y por el término Ciertos.
Los resultados permiten establecer que los usuarios del español procesan ambos términos de manera equivalente, sin distinguir las categorías gramaticales de cuantificadores y determinantes.
