RESUMEN

La mise en abyme es el procedimiento de colocar un segundo relato dentro de un primero, es un reflejo del texto parentético en el texto primario, o en abyme.  En este trabajo utilizamos este procedimiento para describir su uso en las dos primeras novelas del escritor chileno Alejandro Zambra: Bonsái y La vida privada de los árboles.  La investigación interpreta estas obras narrativas desde la metaficción, la metanovela y su relación con el uso de isotopías sobre la lectura (lector/texto).

ABSTRACT.

Mise and abyme is defined as the procedure of setting a story within another one is the reflex of the parenthetical text in the primary text or en abyme. In this research, the abyme procedure was used to describe its use in the first two Alejandro Zambra novels: Bonsái and the Private Life of Trees. These narrative texts are interpreted using metafiction, metanovel perspective and its relation with the use of the isotopy (reader/ text).
