Ethics and Best Practices Policy
Ethics and Best Practices Policy
In order to ensure the integrity and quality of the contributions presented and discussed at our Congress, we establish the following ethics and best practices policy, based on the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE):
Honesty in Contribution: All authors must ensure that their works are original and that any use of previous work is properly cited or authorized. The presentation of data must be honest and accurate.
Author's Responsibility: Authors are responsible for verifying that their contributions comply with ethical standards, including respect for copyright and obtaining consent when necessary.
Peer Review: All contributions will be subjected to a peer review process, ensuring an impartial and constructive evaluation. Reviewers and editors must treat the works confidentially and with respect.
Management of Conflicts of Interest: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflict of interest related to the contributions to the Congress.
Corrections and Retractions: In the event of significant errors or ethical issues in the published contributions, appropriate measures will be taken, which may include corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, as appropriate.
Respect for Diversity: An environment of respect, inclusion, and diversity is promoted. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or disrespect will not be tolerated.
This policy aims to promote ethical and responsible conduct at all stages of the Congress process, reinforcing our commitment to academic integrity and excellence in research. We hope all participants collaborate to maintain these standards.
