Healthy lifestyle habits are closely linked to the quality of life in several fields, even more in university students. The objective of this study was to diagnose the level of knowledge and interest in social welfare services and healthy lifestyle habits in officials of the National
Police University of Honduras (UNPH). Methodologically, a quantitative approach was used at a descriptive level and a convenience sample of 78 participants was considered, to which two instruments were applied, the first related to anthropometric measurement, based on BMI, ICC
and PA, followed by a self-report of 13 items about knowledge related to social welfare services
and 17 items of knowledge about healthy lifestyles. The results reached a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.83, likewise an average of 1.8 was obtained in terms of knowledge of social welfare services and an average of 2.3 in interest in healthy lifestyles. It is concluded that the participants have a medium level of knowledge about social welfare services, surpassed by interest in healthy lifestyle habits, a favorable scenario to implement programs of this nature.
