ABSTRACT

In light of the spacial-ontological category Being here/Being from there, which we propose as an analytical tool, we will read some significant texts within the literary work of Osvaldo Rodríguez Musso (this distinction being made due to the fact that he also made a foray into drawing in addition to his musical work, of course). We believe that this ontological rupture covers the semantic framework that has been occupied in general in the work of this poet and it is that which has given these discourses a condition of dual marginality, reflected as much in his condition as writing from/about exile—where memory is evoked—as well as his reality as a provincial writer. Because of the evident deferral of the work of this author with in our national literature, we will attempt to answer the question as to why Chilean literary critics of exile haven´t given a significant position to the¨provincial¨ poetics of memory.
ER -
