Abstract

This study pretends to know the opinion of the teachers staff of an Institute of High School about school mediation, with the purpose of implementing a program of these characteristics in the educational center. So, an ad hoc questionnaire was designed to recover information about the knowledge and attitudes that the teachers have about school mediation and their predisposition about it. The questionnaire was answered by all the staff (N=53). The results show that the teachers’ opinion is conditioned to the personal characteristics of the teachers, particularly by the degree and years of experience. On the other hand, and taking into account the formation in mediation of the teachers, we have to say the no mediator teachers think to a greater extent than the mediator teachers that the relations between the families and the educational center might improve with a specific program. For all the above, we can conclude that the teachers of the Institute are willing to implement a mediation program in the educational center.
ER -
